Job Description

Position Summary:

The Senior Manager, SOX Compliance will assist with evaluating Cutera's SOX program and partnering with functions across the company to ensure a strong ICFR environment. They will be responsible for updating and maintaining company-wide control standards, perform SOX/audit projects, and provide control-owner training. The Senior Manager, SOX Compliance will manage Internal Audit Staff in maintaining and preparing clear, detailed, and accurate SOX documentation, including narratives/process flow diagrams, control descriptions and risk control matrices.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Execute the SOX compliance testing program.
  • Manage Internal Audit Staff in updating the Company's SOX compliance documentation including Control Matrices, Process Narratives and key control tests.
  • Evaluating the adequacy of key controls and related documentation and provide recommendations where areas for improvement exist.
  • Performing follow-up on the status of outstanding deficiencies and assisting control owners in the design and implementation of process and control improvements.
  • Providing training to Management and the Global Finance Organization in areas of controls, policies and procedures and SOX compliance.
  • Designing, documenting, and testing internal controls.
  • Driving remediation efforts for any identified deficiencies.
  • Review business processes to identify opportunities for process or system simplification.
  • Ascertaining the appropriateness of the Company's protection and safeguarding of assets and recommending areas for improvement.
  • Proactively providing risk/controls consulting in situations where new systems/processes are being implemented and which involve significant risks.
  • Maintaining a current knowledge base of audit industry practices and ensure best practices are always considered and consult with internal Cutera stakeholders on how to incorporate practices in Cutera’s control and operational environments.

Education / Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field.
  • 5 years of experience as an Auditor

Other Requirements:

  • The five (5) years of experience as an Auditor must have included experience with internal auditing and with Internal business controls.

Additional information

Cutera expects to reasonably pay in the range listed below for this position based on the city and state listed in the job posting:

Annual base salary: $165,000 – $191,500

The actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, education, and candidate residence if the position is remote or field-based. We reserve the option to pay above this range for exemplary experience or higher education.
